Yearly plan terms
What you get on a yearly plan, how paying and renewing works, and how to cancel, in plain language.
These terms cover the yearly plans for your website: Self-edit, One batch per month, One batch per week and Unlimited, plus any yearly plan I've set up just for you. Subscribing through a Red Isle Web payment link, or paying for a plan by e-transfer, means you agree to them. Prices are on the pricing page.
What's included
- Self-edit: you change the wording and photos on the marked spots of your own site yourself. If an edit breaks something, I'll roll the page back for free within 3 business days. Anything the editor can't do is $50 a batch.
- One batch per month: one batch of changes each month.
- One batch per week: one batch of changes each week.
- Unlimited: as many changes as you like, plus a monthly check that your site is working properly.
A batch is one list of changes sent together. It can be a single typo or a dozen items. Unused batches don't roll over to the next month or week.
Turnaround
Changes are done within 3 business days of your request. Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting PEI statutory holidays.
What's not included
New pages, a redesign, new features, blog writing, online stores, and anything with logins, bookings or payments are separate work. I'll quote it before starting.
Paying and renewing
Plans are paid up front for the year. If you start a plan when your new site goes live, it's paid that day and your year starts then, and your first month includes unlimited changes. If you pay by card, the plan renews automatically each year on the date you signed up, and you'll get a reminder email 30 days before. If you pay by e-transfer, I'll email you before the year is up. HST is added at checkout where it applies.
If a card payment fails, Stripe will try again over two weeks. If it still doesn't go through, the plan ends and changes go back to $50 a batch.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time, using the link in any Stripe email or by emailing me. Your plan runs to the end of the year you've paid for and won't renew. Plans aren't refunded partway through a year.
Price changes
If a plan's price changes, I'll tell you at least 30 days before your renewal, so you can cancel first if you'd like.
Your website
Your plan doesn't change who owns your site. Hosting stays free, your web address stays in your name, and your site stays up whether or not you have a plan.
Governing law
These terms follow the laws of Prince Edward Island.
